Homewood 5K

The 8th Annual Women's Health 5K Color Run and 1 Mile Family Fun Walk, sponsored by the Office of Women's Health Advisory Committee in partnership with the City of Homewood, the St. Vincent's Health System, Mommy and Me Time Fitness, and the Single Mothers Empowerment Conference, will be held on August 27, 2016, in Homewood, Alabama.

This event is designed to empower women to make their health a top priority, increase the awareness of women's health issues and highlight resources that are available for health and wellness for women in the state of Alabama. Families as well as individual walkers and runners are encouraged to attend to support the health of women across Alabama.

The Couch-to-5K Running Plan

The Couch-to-5K Running plan provides tips on how to prepare for a 5K Run. Follow the Couch-to-5K running plan to go from couch to your very first 5K. Follow this beginner training schedule to get ready for the 2016 Annual Women's Health 5K Run and 1 Mile Mother Daughter Walk.
