Education and Training
For current education and training events, visit the Center for Emergency Preparedness Training page.
All ADPH volunteers must understand and comply with the 2014 HIPAA Privacy and Security Policy. In order to comply with this policy, volunteers must first watch the 2013 HIPAA Privacy and Security Training video. Once the 2013 training is completed, the 2014 HIPAA Refresher Training video, the 2014 HIPAA Privacy and Security Policy, the Patient Data Confidentiality and Remote Access Agreement, and the electronic Acknowledgment Form will become available.
To access the HIPAA policy and training videos, volunteers must first login to the ADPH Learning Content Management System (LCMS). If you do not remember your login information or have not created an LCMS login profile, follow the information listed below regarding LCMS. Once logged in to LCMS, select Courses on the My Account page, type "HIPAA" in the Keyword Search field, and then register and complete the training.
Once you have completed the training, login to the ADPH Volunteer Database/ALResponds and add the training to your profile within the system. If you have not registered, simply go to ALResponds and select the "Register Now" button on the home page and complete the volunteer registration process within ALResponds.
Learning Content Management System (LCMS)
The Learning Content Management System (LCMS) is a web-based system for workforce development programs, information sharing regarding bioterrorism and other relevant public health issues or topics. LCMS manages employees, ADPH Volunteers, health professionals, hospital staff, community-based agencies and those in voluntary health organizations information. It is an efficient method of providing information and training and it allows anytime access (24/7) to many of our training opportunities with easy registration and enrollment. There are a variety of courses available and user transcripts reflect completion of those trainings. LCMS allows ADPH to better engage our volunteer workforce and it allows us to track credentialing of our volunteers for emergencies.
