CMS Overview

A content management system (CMS) helps you manage content. It allows you to create, store, index, archive, publish, and distribute content and provides a collection of procedures used to manage work flow in a collaborative environment.

Some CMS applications are multipurpose and modular. It provides a way for multiple users to collaborate, interact with and control access to data through a common interface. ADPH has implemented a CMS web solution called Learning Content Management System (LCMS) in order to:

  • ensure the ADPH website maintains industry support and access to development resources, enhancement, and integration needs; and
  • allow ADPH to support the needs of the citizens of Alabama and the ADPH community.

Visit the Features/Benefits page to learn more about the modules of LCMS.
